Test Engineer - Electrical Embedded Systems

Responsibilities: 

Purpose: Develop plans, procedures, and equipment for testing battery powered embedded systems in the bicycle industry.

Job Responsibilities:

• Test wireless battery-powered embedded systems for product lines in the bicycle industry.

• Develop test plans to verify and validate designs, review test results, and determine disposition.

• Test microcontroller-based firmware.

• Test both analog and digital hardware designs throughout all stages of the project.

• Test and debug prototype circuit boards.

• Responsible for driving electrical testing from concept through product launch by utilizing strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

• Work within a global team to verify and validate designs of electro-mechanical systems.

Qualifications: 

Education / Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required.

• Strong background in testing principles, instrumentation and processes.

• Experience working with products in varying environmental conditions.

• Wireless hardware and support firmware experience including wireless communication protocols.

• 5+ years of experience testing and debugging low power embedded systems and MCUs.

• Experience with common embedded systems toolchains and languages, C, C++, Assembly, GCC.

• Familiarity with a variety of sensing technologies such as strain gauges, accelerometers, and hall effect sensors preferred.

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally to work with a global team.

• Knowledge or an interest in bicycles is a bonus.
