SRAM RED-equipped Frank Schleck wins in Luxembourg

As one of the first on the team to adopt SRAM RED when management requested the switchover in late March, Team Saxo Bank’s Frank Schleck was quick to praise the crisp shifting, powerful braking, and perfect ergonomics.

Schleck took full advantage of the world’s lightest gruppo, mounted aboard his proven Specialized S-Works frame, and posted his first overall win at his home Tour of Luxembourg. The five-day stage race ended Sunday, June 7, with teammate Matti Breschel taking the final stage. Schleck took overall control with a late attack and victory on Saturday’s 185km stage into Diekirch.

Brother Andy Schleck won Friday's stage into Differdange.

SRAM RED-equipped Andreas Klöden (Astana) finished second, Italian Marco Marcato (Vacansoleil) in third at 1:32.
