Favorite Race / Event: As a competitor, the Teva Mountain Games and as a spectator, Crankworx Slopestyle

Favorite Ride / Trail / Line: : It really depends on who I’m with rather than where I am, as long as it’s a good crew, it’ll always be fun.

Most Memorable Event / victory: Probably the first ever Extreme Games. Yup, it was so long ago it was still the Extreme Games, not X-Games. I was competing in the Observed Trials and it was one of my first big comps. I was really nervous, but after the first round of three I was in first place. I started to choke and after the second round I was in second, and I eventually fell apart in the final round and finished Fourth missing what was probably my only opportunity to win a X-Games Medal!

Achievements – Titles: 3 Time US Mountain Bike Trials Champion, Bunnyhop World Record Holder, 2006 Teva Mountain Games Freeride Challenge Champion, 2005 Bike Magazine Video Award Winner

Goals: To try to become a better rider each time I get on my bike, and to get more people involved in cycling.

What motivates you: Learning something new

Training tips or tricks: When I learn a new trick or stick a line for the first time, I always try to do it 3 times in a row, just to make sure I’ve got it.
