Goodyear and Zipp designers worked together to design the tire to be sized correctly for our rim shape, with the casing plies in the right place and tread cap that is in the right place and sized correctly for the tire. With Zipp’s wide hookless wheels using tires made for all rims sometimes the tread cap shape isn’t ideal, and the casing is stretched in ways that lead to performance not being what you want as a rider.
