Expected SRAM RED 1 -2 -3 into Paris — podium domination
|
With no change in the Tour de France overall after Saturday’s epic Mt. Ventoux stage, which had the riders finishing straight up the vicious unrated 30km climb, the world’s lightest componentry will roll into Paris on Sunday aboard the first three finishers in the General Classification (and five out of the top six). An incredible result for the gruppo that was chosen by Johan Bruyneel for Astana, Lance for his comeback, and by Saxo Bank mid-season, and now those choices have been affirmed. Additionally, fourth place finisher Bradley Wiggins (Garmin) rides Zipp wheels, so it nothing short of a top six sweep for SRAM. SRAM road groups have earned their third Grand Tour overall in itheir eighth attempt, in baseball terms that’s a .375 batting average, certainly worthy of a batting title. Sunday’s stage is a parade stage typically reserved for the sprinters, with no expected change in the overall. We at SRAM are extremely proud our teams - Team Astana, Team Saxo Bank, Milram, and Agritubel - who have highlighted SRAM RED, the World’s best componentry, on cycling’s greatest stage.
