Todd wells takes US National XC title
|
SRAM rider Todd Wells comfortably clinched both the Short Track and Cross Country National Championships this past weekend in Granby, Colorado.
The field was stacked with the best in the USA duking it out on the dusty tracks but Wells felt strong and was primed for both wins. The high elevation of the National Champs venue pushed Wells to train and sleep at an even higher elevation than his home in Durango. The regiment paid off and brought him his first National Championship XC title.
Wells’ win was aboard his SRAM equipped Specialized Epic. SRAM XX drivetrain, RockShox Reba 29er and the new Avid XX World Cup brakes got him across the line quickest.
Wells is off to Europe for the next two rounds of the World Cup in Champery, Switzerland, and Val di Sole, Italy.
