"I have always loved hardware stores and junk yards; making poetry and a little humor out of the puzzle of life around me." Ken grew up in Southern California, and received a BFA from University of California at Northridge. For the past 30 years he has been collecting and putting materials together. Ken's work speaks to his uncanny gift for capturing the essential character and humor of his subjects that range from found objects, the rusted carcass of an abandoned car, the skin of a draft horse to people and places. Ken moved to Salt Spring Island, BC, Canada in 2004, and enjoys the rural artist community there. He has shown his work at galleries in San Francisco, Seattle, Victoria, and Salt Spring Island.
