Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Purpose:  Coach and mentor our Taiwan manufacturing engineering team and assist them in meeting LPD milestones. Work with local management to develop a world class manufacturing engineering group focused on meeting SRAM launch and product quality.

  • Be a coach and mentor for all Taiwan Operations Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Perform cadenced assembly process reviews with LPD ME’s on new assembly processes to insure meeting team schedule.
  • Facilitate communication between ME group and LPD engineers.
  • Support ME manager to help build a world class manufacturing engineering group.
  • Work with Factory ME/QE managers to develop an assembly process qualification and approval process.
  • Support ME manager, section chiefs and  line leaders to develop assembly equipment maintenance plans.
  • Support factory managers to insure all processes have adequate training plans.
  • Support ME group to understand product requirements; develop and document assembly processes that meet those requirements and insure proper process controls are in place.
  • Support ME group to develop assembly processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
  • Support ME group to assure product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming assembly processes and developing process controls.

  • Minimum 5-10 year’s experience in manufacturing engineering and working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge of SRAM LPD process.
  • Knowledge of SRAM products.
  • Ability to lead and work collaboratively across multiple countries and cultures.
  • Demonstrates a strong drive for results.
