Contributes to improving manufacturing quality and productivity by assisting production personnel with problem solving, defining, and following quality standards, and collecting and measuring manufacturing process data. Works closely with Quality, Manufacturing, and Design Engineers to support the development of new and improved manufacturing processes.


  • Resolves problems by analyzing data, investigating solutions with subject matter experts, identifying root causes and recommends action.
  • Create CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) programs and perform general inspection of wheel components
  • Manage plant calibration system and coordinate internal and external sources for calibration services
  • Works closely with Production Leads, auditing processes and ensuring compliance to defined methods and standards; monitors and tracks process performance
  • Inspection of material and parts and documents results, for new development and changes
  • Coordinates testing and quality studies in order to determine process characteristics that are critical to quality
  • Assists with training personnel, especially in Inspection
  • Maintain a continuous improvement mindset- recognizing past accomplishments while always seeking new opportunities for quality and productivity improvements
  • May perform other duties as assigned


  • High school diploma, or equivalent experience, is required
  • Associates Degree in a technical field is desired
  • 2+ years working hands-on in a manufacturing or quality environment
  • Patience to train and coach a team with focus on quality and on time delivery
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with a wide range of functions
  • Experience with or ability to learn logical problem solving skills such as PDCA, 8D, or A3
  • Ability to read and write technical specifications with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to become proficient in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc)
  • Spatial reasoning (ability to visualize objects in 3 dimensional space)- able to learn
  • General knowledge of metrology
  • Ability to work Saturdays when production is needed
  • Be flexible for overtime with production volume increases
  • From time to time be flexible to work alternate shifts
  • Ability to continuously stand or walk at least 80% of the time
  • Ability to bend, squat, twist, climb stairs, and lift frequently
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
