Life

The 4 day long Emakumeen Bira, through the rugged Basque Country, presented the Women’s WorldTour peloton with tough climbs and apocalyptic weather. The Trek-Segafredo squad came alive in the hills, wind and rain, with Tayler Wiles and Elisa Longo Borghini snagging dramatic solo victories on Stages 3 and 4. Longo Borghini managed to snag the overall victory by a mere two seconds! Photographer Jojo Harper has been embedded with the team all year and does a superb job capturing the intimacy and emotion of WorldTour racing. We asked her to caption her favorite photos from the week.

Tayler launched a solo attack with 20 km and two steep climbs to go! She managed to hold off the bunch and Elisa claimed second place. She had nothing left at the finish and was unable to stand.
