Legends and rising stars share the Tour de France spotlight
In the biggest race of the year, Jonas Vingegaard of Team Visma | Lease a Bike went on the offensive. While Tadej Pogacar ultimately couldn’t be caught in yellow, Vingegaard never backed down to the very end, pushing the pace stage after stage to secure second place in the general classification of the Tour de France.
A breakout star of the Tour, Red Bull – BORA – Hansgrohe’s wunderkind, Florian Lipowitz, showed grit beyond his years. He continued his remarkable season, hanging tough in the high mountains, to take third overall and claim the white jersey as best young rider.
Despite the unexpected pressure from Pogacar himself, Lidl-Trek’s speedster, Jonathan Milan, added the green jersey for best sprinter to his haul, including two stage wins.
