A daring raid in the crosswinds of Stage 6, and a gritty ride to limit losses on Lagos de Covadonga, and Annemiek has her first victory of 2023. The Dutch world champion won the general classification of the Vuelta Femenina by nine seconds over Demi Vollering, her third consecutive Vuelta win.

Van Vleuten’s red jersey is only the beginning of a massively successful week for SRAM athletes at the Vuelta. SRAM riders won the top five positions on GC, six of seven stages, and the top three positions in the mountains and points jersey competitions. The final results:
