Meet the Champions
From Belarus to New Zealand, SRAM-supported pros from across the world captured titles last weekend in their respective national championship road races and time trials. These pros earned the privilege of wearing their national colors while competing in their victorious events over the twelve months.
Among the highlights, Lizzie Armitstead of Boels-Dolmans Cycling Team rebounded from a recent hard crash to take a thrilling victory in the British Cycling National Road Championship. Her teammates Amalie Dideriksen of Denmark and Christine Majerus of Luxembourg were victorious in their respective road race and time trials. Hugo Houle of AG2R LA MONDIALE confirmed his standing as a young rider to watch with a victory in the Canadian time trial. In May, legendary American Kristin Armstrong (Twenty16 p/b SHO-AIR) built on her comeback effort with a U.S. time trial title. Velocio-SRAM swept the pro women’s title in Germany with Trixi Worrack taking the road race and Mieke Kröger winning the time trial.
Congratulations to all of these great athletes. Details of who won and the equipment they were riding can be found below:
