When winter hits and the European CX courses get heavy with mud, Wout van Aert is at his best. The two-time defending World Champion recently won a dramatic battle at Superprestige Gavere in horrendous conditions and looks to be getting faster as he targets a third straight World title. His Crelan-Charles mechanics gave his Felt Fx FRD with SRAM RED eTap® HRD a thorough wash before letting us snap some photos:

Wout runs his eTap HRD levers just a little high on his 42cm Zipp Service Course SL-70 Ergo handlebars, connecting them to his Felt Fx FRD with a 110mm Service Course SL stem.
A short cage eTap rear derailleur handles the PG-1170 11-28 cassette, which is paired with 46-36 chainrings. Wout has said he likes the big jump from 36 to 46 when he goes into attack mode.
A Quarq Red power meter with 172.5 crank arms provides valuable training and racing feedback.
World Champion stripes on everything, of course. The featherweight and robust 202 Firecrest Tubular Disc is Wout's preferred wheel, and he has a full quiver of Dugast treads to choose from.
140mm Centerline rotors front and rear. The flat mount calipers create an ultra clean look, and with Bleeding Edge technology, maintenance is quick.
