Overview


The Accounts Receivable Representative performs the recurring tasks of the credit and collections subprocess to facilitate the order to cash process from invoicing to cash collection.

Responsibilities


  • Perform customer set-up process for North American customer base
  • Perform US tax resale certificate collection and campaign process
  • Execute weekly dunning process
  • Execute Monthly Statement process
  • Execute changes to customer master data, manage overall customer data maintenance through reporting, auditing, and cleanup
  • Manage customer account balances including applying cash and credits
  • Assist Credit Manager in answering questions from dealer customers
  • Build relationships with internal cross-functional teams
  • Complete cash application and other customer adjustments within SAP on a daily basis and assist with accounts receivable related month-end close procedures
  • Utilize banking tools to facilitate cash collections
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications


  • Experience working in finance and 2+ years of customer service, credit and collections experience, or related field
  • Understanding of credit processes and practices
  • Familiarity with ERP software preferred, specifically SAP
  • Proficient with Microsoft suite of products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong work ethic, and self-starter capabilities in a dynamic and cross-functional team environment
  • Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and demonstrate good judgment with communications
  • Ability to operate efficiently, independently, and also as a team
  • Experience in with range of customers (small and large companies) preferred
  • Must be able to sit at a computer for up to 90% of the time
  • Must be located in the Indianapolis office – to work with customer service, technical service, and sales teams also based in Indianapolis
