Overview


The Market Insights Analyst will work with the Americas sales team on some of the company’s most strategic efforts that support corporate growth objectives. This role will need a consultative and highly entrepreneurial mindset and will have the opportunity to make an impact through data and a customer-first approach to problem-solving. We’re looking for an all-around athlete who will use their critical thinking skills to analyze sales and market data, conduct customer segmentation, develop research plans, and provide insightful recommendations on business opportunities.

Responsibilities


  • Partner with sales, product, finance, and/or channel partners to develop industry segmentation and market sizing
  • Assess market data, competitive insights, and distribution channels to identify areas of growth, developing actionable insights and recommendations to the sales team and management
  • Examine monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports across channels and segments to identify sales patterns
  • Prepare accurate reports using data from internal and external sources. This can include writing SQL queries (or equivalent) to extract data from internal/external data sources and creating/refining customer segments
  • Work closely with the sales operations team in comparing actual sales to revenue projections and expectations
  • Manage to track, standardize, and reporting of key market metrics and provide insights to the organization
  • Provide regular market updates highlighting customer and channel trends, and other relevant industry info
  • Build insightfully automated and/or custom reports utilizing visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI
  • Monitor industry and regional trends

Qualifications


  • Degree in analytics, business, marketing preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of experience in marketing analytics, sales analytics, customer insights, or CRM analysis
  • Knowledge of SQL or equivalent data processing tools required
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word capabilities are a must
  • High proficiency with data management & visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Adobe, and Data Studio
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management solutions, such as Salesforce or Hubspot
  • Understanding of common customer experience and loyalty measures (CLV, NPS, CES, etc.)
  • Experience writing own surveys according to best practices in survey writing is a plus
  • Naturally curious and highly entrepreneurial in nature, always approaching problems as opportunities
  • Ability to apply first principles thinking, assess data sets, and identify patterns and improvement opportunities
  • Highly capable working cross-functionally, coordinating activities, and demonstrating strong leadership skills
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Quick study with the ability to combine analytical reasoning with business judgment
  • Ability to work in a continuous improvement environment
  • Stays current on evolving industry trends and analytics methodologies
  • Ability to travel regionally approximately 20-30% of the time
  • The benefits for this position include group health insurances including medical, dental, vision, and ancillary plans. As well as 401k match, life insurance, long term disability, and paid time off. Salaries start at $85,000 up to +35% based on skills and experience level. This position is eligible for an annual corporate bonus based on company and individual performance
