Overview


Support and promote the overall product quality for a given product family (value stream) throughout the complete product lifecycle through the use of structered problem solving and continous improvement methods.

Responsibilities


  • Implement customer requirements into the value stream and ensure the value stream meets customer requirements
  • Create, lead and prioritize improvements to current quality measures and current quality processes for a given product family
  • Engage team members inside and outside of the value stream to implement required quality changes
  • Monitor the day-to-day quality processes within the value stream
  • Identify and evaluate project risks and work with team champions to remove roadblocks that may affect team progress
  • Ensure information derived from continous improvement and problem solving activities is used to identify escape, process, design, and system level improvements are proposed to prevent recurrence

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equal relevant experience
  • 3 years work experience in an engineering or manufacturing related role (CQE and 6 Sigma Black Belt certification preferred)
  • CQE and 6 Sigma Black Belt certification preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency using and teaching quality tools needed to drive improvement activities for complex product, process, or system issues
  • Ability to work on cross-functional, global teams and recognize larger picture beyond just detailed issues
  • Hands on problem solver with the ability to make data-based decisions and present project updates to multiple levels in the organization
  • Understand the complete value stream for assigned product families for both new product development and operations after product launch
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
