Overview


We are looking for an individual with chemical or material science background and a strong understanding of how to interpret directives and regulations.

Responsibilities


  • Identify, research, and track applicable global Environmental and Sustainability Regulations, Directives, Initiatives and Policies
  • Monitor the development of and research any new global Environmental and Sustainability Regulations, and any updates in the existing Regulations
  • Create and integrate compliance programs and ensure their organization and success
  • Update relevant teams on new or revised regulations
  • Coordinate and execute reporting to ensure compliance with recycling obligation in accordance with latest directives
  • Responsible for reviewing and managing safety data sheets and dangerous goods information
  • Responsible to work with suppliers and development teams to prepare multilingual product labeling using information in SDS
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications


  • BS or MS in Materials Science, Environmental or related Engineering discipline
  • 3-5 years working experience, preferably including hands-on experience in
  • Materials Compliance Management process
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies is a plus
  • Thorough working knowledge of regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, RoHS, REACH, Prop65, Conflict Materials, etc., preferred
  • Knowledge of EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive, EU WEEE Directive, and EU Battery Directive
  • Knowledge of shipping regulations - IATA, IMDG and DOT
  • Knowledge of GHS and CLP standards
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal German and English communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems independently and manage multiple projects and tasks
