Présentation

To act as a technical liaison between SRAM product development and professional athletes and teams. To provide information and training about SRAM product to professional team staff and athletes. To actively pull information from pro athletes and teams to help improve SRAM product performance and robustness.

Responsibilities
  • Travel frequently to pro team service course, training camps and races to:
  • o Train professional team mechanics, staff and athletes on the optimal installation, adjustment and maintenance of SRAM product.
  • o Troubleshoot issues experienced by pro teams due to poor installation, adjustment or maintenance of SRAM product including the interface to the bike frame or other componentry as well as the riders and mechanics.
  • o Understand and report on SRAM product failures or failures to meet expectations of athletes and staff in complete detail.
  • o Expedite the return of failed product and failure documentation, including electronic data where applicable, to appropriate SRAM product development location.
  • o Pull information from athletes and team staff that can help SRAM product development improve our product performance and robustness in the uniquely challenging environment of professional competition.
  • Work in close collaboration with SRAM Sports Marketing personnel to optimally support sponsored teams and athletes to get the best and most robust performance from SRAM product.
  • Provide information on failure modes discovered in professional competition to help SRAM develop and improve test methods.
  • Regularly collaborate and consult with SRAM product development staff as we seek to understand and resolve failures experienced by pro teams.
  • Support targeted or general product field testing with pro teams.
  • Consult with SRAM product development and product management to identify opportunities to improve our products for professional competition.
Qualifications
  • Deep understanding of bicycle mechanics including building, adjusting and maintaining bicycles.
  • Some formal engineering education preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and eagerness to learn new technical skills. Experience in amateur or professional bicycle competition – as athlete or support – preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, teamwork and relationship skills.
  • Proficient in English as well as at least one of the following: Spanish, German, French, Italian.
  • Ability to recognize, learn, and accept cultural differences and work in a flexible and changing work environment, both alone and within teams.
  • Travel, with out-of-town trips lasting more than one week, can be in excess of 100 days per year and regularly includes weekends.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 100 days per year including weekends.
