Effective training of team members is a foundational element of employee engagement. This Coordinator role will support and play a role in leading the training activities for the Indianapolis operations. The role will provide the creation of a training curriculum, as well as training and coaching of our internal Training Specialist. The team member will also play a key role in monitoring and maintaining the effectiveness of the overall training process.
Responsabilités
- Create a training curriculum for both warehouse and production operations
- Train/certify, coach, and support new Training Specialists and TM’s (Team Members) while providing cross-training of existing TMs
- Ensure established training methods are used to teach our Training Specialists and TM’s the technical skills required for their jobs
- Support and monitor the effectiveness of the training process in the plant. Identify gaps, escalate as required, and assist in resolving issues that arise in the process
- Engage/support in the on-boarding of Team Members
- Provide training and development in support of new processes
- Support Supervisors in the development of individual training plans to meet training and cross-training goals.
- Lead the development and ensure the maintenance of the required processes needed to provide content material that supports the training and methods (i.e. Job Breakdown Sheets)
- Provide/coordinate translation and interpreter support for the training process as required
- May perform other duties as assigned (including assisting on the dock, conducting training in the absence of the specialist)
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Able to read, write, and speak English fluently
- 2+ years experience with training in a production or warehouse environment
- 2+ years experience training, leading, managing, planning
- Experience with TWI Job Instruction process preferred
- Ability to engage and coach others to develop their skills
- Demonstrates patience with individuals learning new skills
- Ability to develop and implement effective SOPs and WI’s
- Ability to develop and implement an effective training program and curriculum
- Ability to develop, train, and direct the activities of the Training Specialist
- Ability to operate a Reach Truck, Order Picker, and Forklift (preferred)
- Ability to work across various levels of the organization from production Team Members to Plant Leadership
- Ethical: The ability to support and uphold SRAM values with the highest standards of business ethics
- Action Orientation: The tendency to act and to make decisions (or ensure they are made) in a timely manner regardless of pressure or uncertainty
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Able to work in a cross-functional team
- Ability to work comfortably within a multilingual environment
