To create and communicate technical information through the use of video, for all SRAM brands and departments. The outputs will be used by technical and non-technical, internal and external audiences.

  • Conduct video preparation and production work, including storyboarding, staging, lighting, camera operation, sound engineering, and directing
  • Conduct video post-production work including sequencing, video graphics, voice-over, and audio editing
  • Apply graphic design and technical writing principles to create videos and other outputs as needed
  • Adhere to Technical Communications and corporate style guides while benchmarking internal and external technical outputs
  • Partner with team members and product development teams to understand project requirements
  • Collect, organize, and prepare all the technical information needed for a project through research, interviewing stakeholders, and peer reviews
  • Manage deadlines and timelines with development teams, product launches, and vendors
  • Create and/or revise technical outputs from start to finish, working independently or as part of a team, including coordinating language translations
  • Perform file management for completed projects including uploading finished files to the web and maintaining and organizing file structures on SRAM’s internal server
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Communication, Technical Communication, Graphic Design or a related field preferred
  • Experience creating videos in a professional setting
  • Strong understanding of video, web, multimedia, and emerging technologies
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of video production and design.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud, video production software (preferably Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Media Encoder) and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to create print and print for web outputs preferred
  • 3D animation and modeling skills preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with team members, cross-functional teams, management, and customers
  • Ability to accept criticism and provide constructive feedback
  • Familiarity with the bicycle industry and products, including installation and maintenance
