Fresh off a win in Chile, at the first round of the 2016 Enduro World Series, Commencal Vallnord Enduro Team rider Cécile Ravanel took another victory this past weekend at EWS Round 2, at Cerro Catedral, in Bariloche, Argentina, strengthening her lead in the series’ overall standings. A week earlier, at the season opener in Corral, Chile, Ravanel went stage for stage with SRAM / RockShox rider, and reigning Queen of Crankworx, Anneke Beerten. At Cerro Catedral, however, Ravanel and her SRAM XX1, Guide Ultimate, RockShox Lyrik, and Monarch Plus equipped Commencal dominated from the start, taking five of six stages in the two-day event, and winning by a margin of nearly 1 minute, 5 seconds.

SUNN Enduro Team rider Isabeau Courdurier and her SRAM XX1, Guide Ultimate, RockShox Lyrik, Monarch Plus and Reverb equipped bike repeated their opening round performance to take home another third-place finish. Courdurier is now in second place in the overall series standings, tied with Anneke Beerten at 640 points, 160 points behind Ravanel.

The 2013 EWS Champion Jerome Clementz – sitting in 3rd overall is still hungry for a win finishing a respectable 6th place in Cerro Catedral using SRAM X01 Eagle™, SRAM ROAM 50/60 wheels, RockShox LYRIK and Reverb – will now enjoy a bit of a break with the rest of the EWS riders while the series moves from the forest fires and deep dust of South America, to the next event in Wicklow, Ireland, on May 15.
