

SRAM’s CX Athletes Shine in the Mud
11 Cyclocross National titles globally.
World Cup leader Wout van Aert (Crelan-Vastgoedservice) claimed his first Belgian Champion Jersey. Across the Atlantic, Jeremy Powers (Rapha-Focus) took his fourth Elite USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championship.
After her triumph in 2013, Nikki Harris (Boels-Dolmans Cycling Team) won the UK Cycling Cyclocross National Championship for the second time. It was her first race in her new team’s colors and with her new Specialized CruX SRAM Force 1 HRD equipped bike. In Luxembourg, her teammate and pre-race favorite, Christine Majerus took her sixth National Cyclocross title.
In the U23 Men and Women Categories, SRAM’s athletes shined. Ellen Noble won in the USA, Thijs Aerts (Telenet-Fidea Cycling Team) in Belgium, Tobin Ortenblad (Cal Giant-Specialized) in the United States,
Two juniors showed their potential; Belgian Fleur Nagengast (Young Telenet-Fidea Cycling Team) and American Hannah Arensman (TWENTY16 Pro Cycling) captured their respective Junior National Championships.
In Australia, the Cyclocross National Championship took place in August, during the winter season. Lisa Jacobs (Rapha-Focus) won for the third time in the Women Elite category and Chris Aitken in the U23 Men category.
