SRAM Athletes Compete in the men’s Amgen Tour of California
SRAM athletes are ready to roll at the 10th edition of America’s greatest race, the Amgen Tour of California (ATOC). As an official sponsor of race stages three and four in San Jose and Pismo-Avila respectively, SRAM is proud to support this internationally contested race that attracts the fastest riders in the world. SRAM is also sponsoring the coveted SRAM Best Young Rider Jersey, awarded after each stage to the rider under 23 years of age with the best time in the general classification.
SRAM supported teams competing in the men’s race are Axeon Cycling, Team SmartStop Pro Cycling, Drapac Pro Cycling and Optum Pro Cycling p/b Kelly Benefit Strategies.
For the sixth year in a row, SRAM’s Neutral Race Support Team stands ready to help a rider suffering a mechanical get back in the race in seconds, regardless of team affiliation. This outstanding team of race mechanics is outfitted with Volvo XC70’s and Aprilia motorcycles loaded with SRAM, Zipp, and Quarq-equipped bikes and wheels.
At the start and finish of five select stages (see below), fans can see and learn about the latest top-of-the-line SRAM products in the SRAM tent at the Lifestyle Festival Expo. Stop by the tent for a chance to win SRAM T-shirts or jerseys. Just follow us on Facebook (SRAM road), Instagram or Twitter (@SRAMRacing or @SRAM) and post a photo of SRAM gear, bikes, teams or even our booth using the hashtags #amgentoc10th or #SRAMRoad.
