Vegas Adventure with SRAM Road
From the famous SRAM happy hour swag toss to Cross Vegas, here are some images from last week's Interbike at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
Flying SRAM trucker hats and big crowds usually mean one thing at Interbike -- SRAM happy hour! It's a time to kick back and celebrate cycling, and of course give away some great SRAM swag.
A wall of SRAM accessories featured bar tap, the new Zipp Tangente tires, SRAM cable cutters and more.
Of course we didn't just talk about all that's new with SRAM. We rode with cycling journalists to Outdoor Demo at Bootleg Caynon. At the front is former pro Neil Shirley of Road Bike Action magazine with Quarq Power Coach Gord Fraser, a former pro and three-time Olympian. Between them is two-time Olympic gold medalist Kristin Armstrong. Not a bad trio to have setting the pace!
Many of the editors on our demo rides were trying SRAM Rival 22, our newest road groupset. Rival 22 is propose built to deliver immense performance across a broad variety of bikes and disciplines. Rival 22 is available with mechanical rim or disc brakes or SRAM's HyrdoR hydraulic rim or disc brakes.
This SCOTT Addict SL, the lighest frameset SCOTT offers, equipped with SRAM RED 22 caught our eye. This bike needs a mountain to climb!
Cross Vegas is always a highlight of Interbike. We were out cheering (and racing). Meredith Miller of Noosa professional Cyclocross won the Elite Women's race, and Jeremy Powers of Rapha Focus was third in the Elite Men's. Both pros were aboard SRAM Force CX1, our new complete high-performance 1x11 cyclocross drivetrain created by blending the best of SRAM’s revolutionary XX1 mountain bike and road technologies.
Did we mention Meredith Miller? We were delighted Meredith dropped by our SRAM booth the day after her Cross Vegas win, her top victory an already great cyclocross career!
