2012: The Spring of SRAM - Winning is a habit*

In February SRAM globally introduced SRAM RED-2012. One highly publicized fact about the new groupset is that we took everything we knew from original SRAM RED, and then we literally started over. Loaded with innovation and invention,  SRAM’s top-end groupset is all-new, yet remains the lightest, fastest, and most ergonomic groupset ever built.

Beyond the launch, the early part of 2012 can be marked by the resurgence of Tom Boonen, Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Pro Cycling Team dominance, and incredible wins by rising Pro Team Astana stars. What remains consistent is SRAM RED. Whether it’s SRAM RED Black Edition, or new SRAM RED-2012, the groupset that relies on lightweight and efficient mechanical internals has shared an extraordinary Spring season.

While we recognize that it’s the rider who pedals the bike, one cannot overlook the confidence, quality, and performance advantage that SRAM RED provides. In a sport where grams, seconds, and inches/cm matter, winning in cycling is the ultimate expression of athletic effort and elegant engineering. Congratulations to our sponsored teams who have all shared incredible victories – AG2R-La Mondiale, Pro Team Astana, Liquigas-Cannondale Pro Cycling Team, Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Pro Cycling Team, Team SAXO-Bank.
