Moira Marti Geoffrion
Moira grew up on a farm in southeastern Ohio. She received her BFA in painting from Boston University and her MFA in sculpture from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. She served in the Peace Corps in Sierra Leone, West Africa, and has taught drawing, figure modeling, bronze and aluminum casting, painting and professional practices at the university level for 37 years, first at Notre Dame University in Indiana and then at the University of Arizona, where she was department Head of Art and Art History. Moira has received grants and awards from the National Endowment for the Arts and numerous other groups, and exhibited her work in solo and group shows in museums and galleries across the United States and in Australia, Africa, Russia, and Europe. Her art is in 20 museums and corporate collections in the United States and in Australia, Hungary, Switzerland, Germany, and Bulgaria.
