Amy is a Chicago-based artist whose interdisciplinary work confronts and challenges cultural notions of what happens to people as they age and what itís like to be old. Her work is informed by more than 25 years of working with older adults as a registered nurse and geriatric case manager. Her works embody a charm and complexity of structure that speak to the depth of each of the older adults she has come to know. Amy received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, her MFA from The University of Chicago, and her BSN from Syracuse University. She’s a member of ARC Gallery, a woman’s cooperative gallery in Chicago where she served on the board as secretary for six years. Her work has been published in The University of Chicago Magazine and has been exhibited nationally and internationally in Chicago; New York; Edinburgh, Scotland; Chiang Mai, Thailand; and other locations.
