X01 DH X-HORIZON™ Rear Derailleur

ACTION HERO

The 7-speed X-HORIZON™ rear derailleur makes shifting smooth and reliable no matter where you ride. Engineered to maintain consistent chain gap across all seven gears, X-HORIZON™ eliminates vertical movement for faster shifting, reduced shift force and an end to ghost shifting. ROLLER BEARING CLUTCH™ technology and the 12-tooth X-SYNC™ pulley wheels hold the chain in place, reducing bounce and chain slap. And CAGE LOCK™ technology makes wheel removal and installation easier than ever. Paired with the X01 DH 7-speed shifter, X-HORIZON™ forms the backbone of X-ACTUATION™ technology—and that means completely smooth shifting action.

  • X-HORIZON™ technology provides more responsive shifting and eliminates ghost shifting, a common problem on DH bikes
  • X-ACTUATION™ with more cable pull delivers optimized system performance and durability
  • Two cage lengths for various applications, including abnormally long chain stay growth
  • ROLLER BEARING CLUTCH™ with CAGE LOCK™ sets the industry standard

ROLLER BEARING CLUTCH™

ROLLER BEARING CLUTCH™ rear derailleurs deliver maximum drivetrain stability—even through the most punishing terrain. With ROLLER BEARING CLUTCH™ technology, derailleur bounce and chain slap are eliminated without sacrificing precision.

X-ACTUATION™

Developed specifically for SRAM 1X, X-ACTUATION keeps shifting sharp and consistent across the entire 10- to 42-tooth cassette.

X-HORIZON™

The X-HORIZON™ rear derailleur’s ‘straight parallelogram’ design limits all movement to the horizontal axis, which makes ghost shifting impossible while also reducing shift force. For quicker, more exact shifting, the large upper pulley offset design maintains a constant chain gap across all gears.

X-SYNC™

SRAM X-SYNC™ 1X chain rings provide the highest level of performance and durability. The SRAM X-SYNC™ tall square teeth edges engage the chain earlier than traditional triangle shaped teeth. The sharp and narrow tooth profile, as well as rounded chamfer edges, help manage a deflected chain. To provide the best possible performance in muddy conditions, the X-SYNC™ chain rings have been designed with mud-clearing recesses for the inner chain links and rollers. Engineered in Germany, X-SYNC™ rings are an integral part of the SRAM 1X™ drivetrain.

SRAM X01 DH and RockShox BoXXer voted ‘Best of Vital top 10 products for 2015′

“When SRAM’s XX1 drivetrain appeared a couple of years ago now, it was nothing short of a revolution, and certainly not just because it goes to 11…lighter, quieter, more reliable, and easier to operate. The obituary of the front derailleur was short and to the point: “so long, and good riddance. It turned out to be everything we had hoped for and then some, simplifying the drivetrain and making shifts count when every millisecond can make a difference.”

SRAM X01 DH Review on Pinkbike.com

“Shifting across the cassette feels extremely positive, even compared to SRAM’s other single-ring groups, and the 10 – 24 spread felt spot on for use on a downhill bike…but it was pretty obvious to me that I was shifting less than I would be if I had another three or four cogs, and when it comes to a downhill bike the less shifting the better.”
