SRAM DD3 Pulse
We set the bar high: a shifting system for the eBike of the future. So that getting around is more fun – in the city or cross country. What we’ve achieved is a minor revolution. The SRAM DD3 Pulse shifts automatically and integrated. We developed this concept with cutting edge partners. Depending on the speed, the gear hub automatically selects one of three speeds: whether you are braking for a traffic light or about to go up a steep hill.
In addition to the automatic, 3-speed gear system you can also make manual adjustments to the derailleur at all times. As in the case of a modern trekking bike, the derailleur offers a wide range of gear ratios.
With just one chain ring and shifter, you can fully focus on the urban jungle or just enjoying the scenery. Three-speed, automatic shifting that is continuous, fast and low-wear.

The E-Connect4 is a 4pin plug that provides for CAN Bus communication and power between the motor and shifting system. It is a proven and very reliable interface.
- High Speed CAN bus
CAN bus (for Controller Area Network) is an automotive electronic communication protocol designed to allow microcontrollers to communicate with each other in a robust way.
- Integrated Shift
Integrated Shift means there is bi-directional communication between the Bosch flux and the SRAM 3-speed internal gear hub for perfect coordination. Integrated Shift works quickly and reliably via the HighSpeed CAN bus system.
- Micro Gear System
The Micro Gear System in the E-box transfers the actuation signal, created by a small motor, into quick, automatic gear shifts in the hub. The Micro Gear System guarantees force transmissions without play, with accurate shifting positions, and with precise shifting operations.
- Signal Gear Technology
Signal Gear Technology uses light pulses to very accurately shift the Micro Gear System in the E-box.
