A stage win & the overall classification for the ITT World Champion

Lizzie Armitstead (Boels-Dolmans Cycling Team), current World Cup leader, won the opening stage of the second edition of the Aviva Women's Tour. Unfortunately, she crashed heavily after crossing the finish but should be back racing this weekend at the British National Championships. Her teammate, Christine Majerus (LUX) took the third stage. After a tough race and final sprint, the reigning World Time-Trial Champion Lisa Brennauer (GER) won the fourth stage. Lisa’s teammates Tiffany Cromwell (AUS), Elise Delzenne (FRA), Barbara Guarischi (ITA), Loren Rowney (AUS) and Trixi Worrack (GER) did a great job to help her secure the overall classification.
