Don't Wake the Baby or She'll Attack!
SRAM sponsored teams Velocio-SRAM and Boels-Dolmans had excellent showings at the Sparkassen Giro, round seven of the UCI Women's World Cup race last weekend.
Velocio-SRAM's Barbara "Baby G" Guarischi charged hard for her first World Cup win. After a strong lead out by teammate Tiffany Cromwell, Baby G dropped the hammer to ride her SRAM drivetrain, Zipp 303 tubular wheels, and Quarq power meter equipped Cervelo to take first place past Lucinda Brand (Rabobank Liv Women Cycling Team) in the bunch sprint. Even more impressive was that Guarischi’s WC win was a back-to-back feat after her win at the London GranPrix Criterium the day before.

Lizzie Armitstead of Boels-Dolmans finished sixth and retained her white leader's jersey in the World Cup points standing with three rounds to go. Armitstead’s Specialized is equipped with SRAM drivetrain, Zipp wheels and cockpit, and Quarq power measurement.
