The Fastest Women in the World Compete in the Women’s Amgen Tour of California – Empowered with SRAM

SRAM is proud to serve as the official sponsor of the inaugural edition of the Women’s Amgen Tour of California - Empowered with SRAM. SRAM is also the official sponsor of the SRAM Women’s Sprint Jersey, awarded after each stage to the rider that accumulates the most bonus points at each Sprint Line and each stage finish.

Fighting for the win in the women’s three stage race are SRAM-supported teams: Velocio SRAM Pro Cycling, Boels-Dolmans Cycling Team (racing the TT), Twenty16 p/b SHO-AIR, Optum Pro Cycling p/b Kelly Benefit Strategies, BMW Development p/b Happy Tooth Dental and Pepper Palace Pro Cycling p/b The Happy Tooth.

Separate from the women’s stage race, the fastest women in the world will race against the clock in the 2015 Amgen Tour of California Women’s Invitational Time Trial - Empowered with SRAM. Headlining the competition are SRAM athletes including World Time Trial Champion Lisa Brennauer of Germany (Velocio-SRAM), as well as American standouts Evelyn Stevens and Megan Guarnier (Boels-Dolmans Cycling Team). The women’s time trial also marks the comeback of one of American cycling’s greatest stars, two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, Kristin Armstrong (Twenty16 p/b SHO-AIR).

For the sixth year in a row, SRAM’s Neutral Race Support Team stands ready to help a rider suffering a mechanical get back in the race in seconds, regardless of team affiliation. This outstanding team of race mechanics is outfitted with Volvo XC70’s and Aprilia motorcycles loaded with SRAM, Zipp, and Quarq-equipped bikes and wheels.

At the start and finish of Stage Three in Sacramento, fans can see and learn about the latest top-of-the-line SRAM products in the SRAM tent at the Lifestyle Festival Expo. Stop by the tent for a chance to win SRAM T-shirts or jerseys. Just follow us on Facebook (SRAM road), Instagram or Twitter (@SRAMRacing or @SRAM) and post a photo of SRAM gear, bikes, teams or even our booth using the hashtags #amgentoc10th or #SRAMRoad.
