After four consecutive second place finishes the Omega Pharma-Quick-Step sprinter Gianni Meersman took the final stage and secured the overall at the 41st Tour de Wallonie (July 26-30).


Meersman’s team knew his goal was to race for the GC and with their full support he successfully secured by the win in the French speaking portion of Belgium by 30 seconds. Meersman also won the points classification.
