Anthony Messere takes first ever Crankworx victory in Slopestyle with a massive front flip no-hander in Les 2 Alpes while Cam Zink dominates the Speed and Style in true fashion.

Les 2 Alpes is globally renowned for its network of mountain biking trails, extensive freeride areas and long established history of hosting world-class events. This year SRAM was on hand again as the official title sponsor for Crankworx Les 2 Alpes, bringing together the most talented Freeride athletes and the fastest racers from around the globe for this unforgettable event. With the largest number of crowds ever recorded in attendance the action packed events rolled on one by one as the weekend approached. Hosting a full catalogue of events from the infamous Slopestyle to the recent addition of Dual Speed and Style, Les 2 Alpes has something for everyone to watch and enjoy. Whip-off championships and the Air DH race drew in huge crowds of cheering supporters, urging riders to go bigger and faster than ever before.

Crankworx 2014 delivered some of the years most notable victories for SRAM to date. SRAM, RockShox, and Avid athlete, Anthony Messere took the win at the Slopestyle event with a commanding run scoring a 90.5 putting him well above the highly talented international field. At 19 years old the young athlete has now ticked off one of the most sought after victories early in his carrer giving him his first major win at this level of competition. This win would also make Messere the first Diamond Series winner on the Freeride Mountain Bike (FMB) World Series for the 2014 season. Messere would also choose to take the all new RockShox Pike DJ fork along for the ride.

“The feeling is just insane. It feels like I’m in a dream,” said Messere after the win. “I’m so happy to be here, and I’m so happy to be standing here right now. Everybody absolutely slayed it. And to be up on top with all these other dudes’ runs? Just, wow.” - Photo by Ale Di Lullo
