Commitment to Women’s Cycling Fuels Growth in Pro Lineup

SRAM’s increased investment in women’s cycling is all about equipping top athletes with top components. Our lineup of women’s pro teams – our largest and most diverse to date – is headlined by our new co-title sponsorship of Velocio-SRAM Pro Cycling, the reigning UCI World Team Time Trial Champion. SRAM also grew its partnership with the Boels-Dolmans Cycling Team, the Dutch powerhouse, to include Zipp wheels, bars, stems and seatposts. We’re also proud to be back with two of our longtime partner programs, Twenty16 p/b by Sho-Air and Optum Pro Cycling p/b Kelly Benefit Strategies as they look for results in the United States and beyond.

Our pro women’s teams are focused, motivated and professionally run. That’s critically important as we collaborate with their staffs, mechanics and athletes to provide riders with the lightest, fastest and best performing drivetrains,” SRAM Director of Road Sports Marketing Alex Wassmann said. “These partnerships also are part of our commitment to grow women’s cycling, help talented young riders advance, and develop and test new products.”

SRAM is among our most valued partners. They’ve provided us with the best components and highest level of expertise, season after season. That commitment is unbelievably motivating to our women and junior racers,” said Nicola Cranmer, general manager of TWENTY16 p/b Sho-Air. “Our athletes also know they’re racing on the world’s lightest, fastest and most ergonomic components. That’s hugely motivating, too.”
