The twelfth edition of the Absa Cape Epic has come to a close leaving Christoph Sauser’s final professional race as his fifth victory of the grueling eight-day mountain bike adventure covering 748km with 16,000m of climbing from the University of Cape Town to Meerendal Wine Estate in Durbanville. A daunting route that changes drastically from year to year, lead some 1,200 cyclists through great distances of new territory, never seen by any previous routing. - Photo by Gary Perkin

The winning pairs of Christoph Sauser and Jaroslav Kulhavy with Ariane Kleinhans and Annika Langvad prove winning combinations both taking second victories at the 2015 Absa Cape Epic. All on board SRAM XX1 drivetrain, SRAM Guide brakes and RockShox Suspension the two pairs endured challenging and technical landscapes over the eight days to take monumental leads over the rest of the field. - Photo by Gary Perkin

Ariane Kleinhans and Annika Langvad were penalized over an hour on stage two due to misdirection amidst the confusion and excitement of the race. Not a pair to submit or accept defeat they impressively and demandingly recovered the entire deficit in the very next stage, eventually winning the overall by nearly and hour and a half at the eighth and final stage. - Photo by Gary Perkin
