We are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to lead the development and growth of our European presence. This role serves as the connective link between SRAM's global marketing strategy and local market execution, translating global category and brand direction into regionally relevant plans that drive awareness, excitement, and consumer lifetime value while fueling business growth by delivering the SRAM Promise across the entire customer and rider journey. You will act as the strategic bridge between our Global Brand, Sales, and Product teams, working in close partnership with the Regional Sales Director to own the regional marketing plan, build local relevance, and ensure consistent brand expression while adapting to the unique dynamics of the European market. Global Marketing sets the category strategy, brand guidelines, and KPI framework. This role executes that strategy locally – adapting messaging, activating campaigns, and building the local relationships and channels that amplify global priorities in the region
Aufgabenbereiche
- Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute regional marketing strategies aligned with global brand objectives, adapting campaigns to local market needs, customer segments, and competitive landscapes.
- Translate global category and brand campaigns into regionally relevant marketing plans.
- Participate in the Annual Planning Process and provide local market insights and voice-of-customer feedback to Global Marketing.
- Own and manage the regional marketing calendar in alignment with Regional Sales Leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Conduct market gap analysis to identify opportunities in technology adoption, channel expansion, and competitive positioning.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to regional leadership by providing actionable market insights and recommendations.
- Serve as the regional link between Global Marketing strategy and local market execution, ensuring alignment with global priorities while adapting initiatives to regional market needs.
- Campaign & Content Execution:
- Create and implement regional marketing plans that support business objectives through targeted activations, channel optimization, product positioning, and customer segmentation.
- Execute global product and category campaigns locally, ensuring relevance to regional audiences.
- Localize global campaigns across events, partnerships, and consumer touchpoints.
- Identify growth opportunities to increase brand awareness, engagement, and market penetration.
- Events, Sponsorships & Local Activation:
- Plan and execute trade shows, field events, ride activations, product launches, and experiential marketing programs.
- Lead regional launch events, dealer and retailer programs, and community engagement initiatives.
- Leverage global partnerships, sponsored properties, ambassadors, athletes, and events to maximize regional brand visibility and engagement.
- Support SRAM-owned and customer events, including event logistics, booth setup, experience bikes, and rider support.
- Sales & Channel Alignment:
- Work hand-in-hand with the Regional Sales Leaders and teams to align marketing activity with sales priorities and go-to-market execution.
- Support local OEM relationships; leverage local dealer and distribution partnerships to amplify campaigns.
- Support Sales teams communicate new product information and launch plans to distributors, key OEM brands, and dealers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with Global Brand, Sales, Product, Technical Marketing teams, and Field Guides to deliver integrated marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with Communications, Sports Marketing, Creative, and Digital Marketing teams to ensure consistent brand execution.
- Establish feedback loops to share market intelligence, customer insights, campaign performance data, and competitive trends with global stakeholders.
- Team & Budget Leadership:
- Lead, develop, and inspire high-performing regional teams across marketing, technical marketing, ambassador programs, and events.
- Manage regional marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources, strong ROI, and measurable business outcomes.
- Deliver regional marketing KPIs aligned with the global KPI framework.
- Monitor, analyze, report, and optimize regional marketing performance.
- Support additional regional and business initiatives as required.
Qualifikationen
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of experience in Marketing, Brand Management, Communications, Regional Marketing, Field Marketing, or related disciplines.
- Experience within the cycling, outdoor, sporting goods, active lifestyle, or action sports industries is strongly preferred.
- 2+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Proven track record of executing multi-channel marketing campaigns in regional or field marketing environments.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Deep knowledge of the cycling industry, rider segments, regional market dynamics, culture, and consumer behavior.
- Proven ability to leverage global brand and sports marketing programs to create local market relevance.
- Strong capability to translate global strategies into successful regional execution plans.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English required; German language skills are a plus.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, social media platforms, digital marketing tools, and marketing analytics platforms.
- Strategic, results-oriented mindset with strong operational excellence and the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Willingness to travel regionally (approximately 30 - 40%) and flexibility to support event-driven schedules.
