Two stage wins in three days capped an unforgettable run through the Alps for Richard Carapaz and the EF Education–EasyPost team. Richie attacked and broke away on Stage 18 to Orcières-Merlette, claiming the polka dot jersey, then backed it up with a gutsy victory atop Alpe d'Huez on Stage 20.
