This could be building connection with new people or communities or helping to produce great content.

Women of Colour Cycling Collective

Mission statement: To inspire, empower and motivate our members to love cycling and challenge themselves (as well as the status quo). Our aim is to reduce the barriers to participation in our sport. Membership is free and open to all self-defining women and non-binary people of colour.

Goals for 2026: Besides material support for that we'd like to raise our social media profile, especially on Instagram. As such the storytelling & content collaborations are of particular interest, as are the community networking sessions.

Mission statement: Little Bellas is a mountain bike organization, whose goal is to help young women reach their fullest potential. We aim to create a community to empower women through cycling, accent the importance of goals and a healthy lifestyle, and emphasize a positive female bond. While this program is centered around creating a female camaraderie on bikes, it is most importantly about having fun in a constructive environment.

Goals for 2026: Grant funds will strengthen our 2026 Four Corners Initiative by training local leaders, supporting community cycling events, and providing bikes, helmets, and skills instruction so youth and families can access safe, culturally rooted riding opportunities.

Mission statement: The Ubuntu Cycling Foundation community cycling for school’s teacher-education programme in partnership with SRAM will provide expert-led continued professional development opportunities to foster cycling skills and racing opportunities for young children.

Goals for 2026: In partnership with SRAM we will deliver a school community cycling event in Rwanda, East Africa. We will raise the profile of our partnership across the globe via media and marketing. We will make a film in documenting our solid partnership.

Black Girls Do Bike NYC

Mission statement: Black Girls Do Bike NYC is an inclusive, women-led cycling community serving all five boroughs since 2013. We break down barriers through group rides, skill-building, and Licensed Cycling Instructor-led training, expanding access for women and youth across NYC.

Goals for 2026: Grant funds will support three priorities: removing barriers for youth through gear and transportation, strengthening rider development with bike-specific training, and investing in volunteer leaders through LCI certification, retention, and professional development to sustain BGDB NYC.

Goals for 2026: Building on our four years of success, we aim to collaborate with SRAM to celebrate and grow the MMB community. This partnership will directly fund safe events, ensuring marginalized riders have a welcoming space to experience the sport.

Mission statement: NOW exists to make cycling more accessible, welcoming, and ego-free, for women and non-binary riders who haven’t always felt represented in traditional cycling spaces. Mission statement: Thee Abundance Project was designed to create a pathway for women of color to go from beginner to professional road cyclists by eliminating many of the barriers along the way. Mission statement: Melanin Base Miles is a DMV-based effort to increase access and remove barriers to gravel cycling and racing for riders who are Black, Indigenous, and/or other people of color (BIPOC) and who have been historically overlooked in the local cycling community.
