Schurter dominates again in front of his home crowd and Rissveds gets her first Elite World Cup win, both with XX1 Eagle™ and Level Ultimate brakes.

The young Swedish cross-country talent Jenny Rissveds, like her Scott-ODLO teammate Nino Schurter, repeated her winning performance at the World Championships by taking first in Lenzerheide with SRAM XX1 Eagle™ and Level Ultimate brakes. Rissveds’ ride at Worlds, however, was in the Under 23 category, while in Lenzerheide she successfully fought for the win in the Elite class—her first-ever Elite World Cup victory. Rissveds led the race early in front of the predominantly Swiss crowd, but, showing incredible patience and maturity, followed the pace of Elite World Champion, current World Cup leader and SRAM XX1 Eagle™Level Ultimate and RockShox RS-1 rider Annika Langvad for most of the race. Rissveds rode her own pace and waited, eventually taking over command of the event to claim the win.

Fresh off his victory at the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships a week ago in the Czech Republic, Scott-ODLO rider Nino Schurter followed up with another masterful performance this past weekend at the Elite World Cup XCO event in Lenzerheide, Switzerland. Despite a clumsy start that saw the world champ perhaps as far back as 20th in the opening lap, Schurter powered his new SRAM XX1 Eagle™ and Level Ultimate equipped Scott Spark to an impressive lead well before the halfway mark in the eight-lap event. The Swiss rider’s command of the race was so dominant that he was able to show off for the crowd on the last laps, and flash his gold XX1 Eagle™ drivetrain parts for the cameras before collecting yet another World Cup victory.
