Lisa Brennauer of CANYON//SRAM Racing loves the time trial. The precision. The planning. The suffering. When it comes to the team time trial, she loves the fluid collaboration needed to succeed. Technology also is central to the time trialist’s approach – a TT bike must be aero but stable, fast but ergonomic so a rider remains in the most efficient position. Here, through the lens of Sean Robinson of VeloFocus, we take a look at Lisa Brennauer’s SRAM, Zipp and Quarq-eqiupped CANYON time trial bike.

Brennauer, the individual women’s time trial world champ in 2014 and multi-time team time trial champ, rides the SRAM RED eTap wireless groupset with Blip remote shifters. She also rides the 55-tooth SRAM TT chainring and a Quarq power meter. "The SRAM red eTap on the speedmax is a huge advantage for me," Lisa said. "Especially after the corners or at the start you can excellerate so much faster as you can change the gearing in the drops. Being in the extensions you can choose the position of the buttons according to your own needs. The shifting is very smooth and fast giving the opportunity to shift multiple gears up or down with only one push.”

For wheels, she opts for the Zipp Super-9 Disc, which limited-edition CANYON//SRAM Racing colors, paired with a Zipp 808 with NSW technology, including Showstopper™ with its directional, molded in texture with silicon carbide particles suspended in the surface resin. For her aero extensions, she chooses the Zipp Vuka Race extensions.
