World Champion Crowley to race on SRAM
Following a breakthrough 2017 season, Australian triathlete Sarah Crowley has chosen to ride SRAM, Zipp and Quarq for 2018. A certified accountant, Crowley only recently switched her focus to full-time triathlon and last year established herself as a force in long course. After becoming Australian Long Course, Ironman® Asia Pacific, and Ironman® European Champion, Crowley capped her remarkable year by winning the ITU Long Course World Championship and storming to a third place in the Ironman® World Championship.
SRAM Road Sports Marketing Director Jason Phillips is thrilled about the partnership. "SRAM is proud to welcome Sarah Crowley to the SRAM/ZIPP/QUARQ team. Sarah has had a phenomenal 2017 and we believe that we can support her to achieve even greater success in 2018."
Crowley will ride a Canyon Speedmax CF SLX equipped with SRAM RED® eTap® Aero, a Quarq RED DZero power meter, and a selection of Zipp wheels, including the Super-9 Carbon Clincher Disc, the 858 NSW Carbon Clincher and the 454 Carbon Clincher.
"I take aerodynamics and marginal gains very seriously and I will only use the finest quality equipment,” Crowley said. “I am very proud to be supported by SRAM and Zipp, the market leading brands for innovation, development and aerodynamics in cycling and triathlon.”
