Winning weekend for SRAM
Five strong victories for SRAM Cyclocross riders
Elite Men or U23 categories? It doesn’t seem to matter. Wout van Aert keeps winning and challenging the most talented Cyclocross athletes in the World. On Saturday, the leader of Vastgoedservice - Golden Palace Cycling Team became the youngest winner of a Cyclocross World Cup in the Elite category, by claiming Koksijde, the 2nd round of the series. During more than half of the race, the 22-year-old phenomenon was away from the other competitors and crossed the finish line over 40s ahead of Kevin Pauwels (Sunweb - Napoleon Games Cycling Team). On Sunday, he took Superprestige Francorchamps, in the U23 category.
Perennial Telenet-Fidea several victories and podiums this weekend. It’s started with the young Belgian rider, Daan Soete, who took the win at the Koksijde World Cup in the U23 category. On Sunday, the first edition of the Superprestige Francorchamps, brought victories for Nikki Harris and Eli Iserbyt. After consistently good results in the first part of the season, Nikki Harris finally raised her arms in the air to claim solo Superprestige Francorchamps. The course was really challenging and intense – just what Nikki likes. A few hours before, the new Junior European Champion, Eli Iserbyt, won again in the Junior category. He seems to be unstoppable.
Congrats to Nikki, Wout, Daan and Eli and to all our Cyclocross teams and riders for the great performances this weekend!
