Design Engineer

We are seeking a Design Engineer to develop high-quality, robust products for the bicycle front drivetrain. This role involves applying engineering best practices, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the creation of world-class cycling components.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality products for the bicycle drivetrain.
• Apply SRAM engineering best practices and standard procedures.
• Document design specifications using standard documentation practices.
• Collaborate regularly with engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Facilitate problem resolution within design teams and with suppliers.
• Mitigate risks through proactive design analysis.
• Provide input for manufacturing processes and equipment development.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2+ years of engineering experience in product design or related field.
• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes (forging, CNC machining/turning, stamping).
• CAD experience required; Creo Parametric preferred.
• Familiarity with engineering tools: statistics, GD&T, FEA, FMEA, tolerance analysis.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally multiple times per year (1–2 weeks per trip).
