How to use AXS Web to receive ride data

Realize the full potential of SRAM’s AXS ecosystem by utilizing AXS Web, an online tool designed to help you better understand and improve your experience on the bike. The complete AXS ecosystem is comprised of three parts:

  • The wireless AXS components on your bike
  • The SRAM AXS mobile app
  • Our web-based tool called AXS Web

These parts communicate with one another and work together to enhance your ride in many ways, including drawing data from each ride for you to analyze. In just a few simple steps, you’ll have access to all kinds of interesting and useful ride data viewable on AXS Web. From time spent in each gear, to total shift counts, there’s plenty of AXS data to explore. Let’s walk through how to get everything connected and uploading data properly:

STEP 1: PAIR YOUR AXS COMPONENTS TO YOUR BIKE COMPUTER

To capture ride data from your AXS drivetrain and other AXS-enabled parts, you’ll need an ANT+ bike computer, like a Hammerhead Karoo. Once you have a bike computer, you can add your drivetrain and power meter as separate sensors on your device. If you have Zipp AXS Wheel Sensors, add those as individual sensors as well. Once your AXS sensors are paired, they will each upload data right to your bike computer.

STEP 2: CONNECT YOUR ACCOUNTS

To view your ride data, such as time spent in each gear, you’ll need to connect your bike computer account with AXS Web. You’ll find AXS Web in the “Connected Accounts” or “Connected Apps” section of your bike computer account, where you would add Strava or Training Peaks. When you select AXS Web, simply log in with your SRAMid to complete the account connection.

TECH TIP: Hammerhead Karoo will automatically sync your AXS sensors when you log into your device with your SRAMid. In addition to recording shift data, syncing accounts will allow you to see current gear and battery levels in-ride, receive low battery alerts after the ride, and program Bonus Buttons or Wireless Blips to control your Karoo.

STEP 3: VIEW YOUR RIDE DATA

After your next ride, visit the AXS Web dashboard to see and analyze ride data specific to shifting, gear use, power zones, tire pressure, and more. You’ll now have data to help you dial in cassette or chainring sizing while training for an event, or fine tune your tire pressure for a specific route. We also think it’s just fun to know how many shifts occurred during a big race. For example, gravel pro Sofia Gomez Villafane reported 3,527 shifts during Unbound in 2024. With AXS Web, you’ll be able to analyze your gearing like a pro.
