Triathlon. Time Trial. Cyclocross. Some disciplines are made for 1x. And while our X-Range™ 2x set up has integrated much of the simplicity of a 1x system, there are still times when a single ring is best. The SRAM RED® 1 crankset offers the most demanding racers the right mix of features—aerodynamics, durability and simplicity.
$728 - $743
- Single-ring drivetrain simplifies functionality and reduces weight
- 48 and 50t variants feature direct mount aero chainrings for better aerodynamics
- Non-aero chainrings can be installed with a single tool, making gearing changes a breeze
- SRAM X-SYNC™ wide-tooth, narrow-tooth chainring technology provides maximum chain control
- Laser-etched chainring finish is more durable
- DUB™ bottom bracket adds durability, simplicity and broad compatibility
- Can be upgraded to a power meter
Our Hollow Carbon Construction starts in the crank arm and extends into the crank’s spider, maximizing the stiffness to weight ratio.
SRAM X-SYNC 1x chainrings provide the highest level of performance and durability. The SRAM X-SYNC tall square teeth edges engage the chain earlier than traditional triangle shaped teeth. The sharp and narrow tooth profile, as well as rounded chamfer edges, help manage a deflected chain. To provide the best possible performance in muddy conditions, the X-SYNC chainrings have been designed with mud-clearing recesses for the inner chain links and rollers. Engineered in Germany, X-SYNC rings are an integral part of the SRAM 1x drivetrain. Accept no imitation.
The relationship between bottom bracket spindle and bearing is the core of DUB technology. It’s where stiffness meets durability. We took it a step beyond conventional thinking and made everything simpler—better integrating the relationship between chainring, crank, spindle and bottom bracket. It’s this approach to developing a complete system that equals better drivetrain performance.
Road bikes are faster and more capable than ever before, and riders are expanding what’s possible with drop bar bikes. X-Range is gearing for today’s road riding. We completely reimagined road gearing for wider range, more useful and smoother gear progression, as well as smarter shift settings—enabled by AXS. With X-Range, you’re always in the right gear.

SRAM’S NEW 12-SPEED RED ETAP AXS WILL PUSH YOUR BUTTONS
“Most notably, Red eTap AXS shifts much (much) faster than Red eTap, and finally puts SRAM’s electronic shifting in the same league as Shimano’s and Campagnolo’s systems."
"RIGHT NOW, THE SRAM RED ETAP AXS IS THE BEST GROUPSET ON THE MARKET."
SRAM RED eTap AXS Groupset long term review | 10/10 points
“AFTER A FEW MONTHS OF TESTING, ETAP AXS HAS SURPASSED MY EXPECTATIONS."

Dartmoor, England is unique. It’s not a place that can be labeled, or described and understood. Always hard on the legs, always rewarding and never the same.

Twenty miles north of the Mexican border sits an unexpected gravel heaven. Welcome to Patagonia, Arizona. Population 913—and the ideal testing grounds for a capable new groupset.
