For the most natural ride feel, adjust Auto Shift's Pedal Speed to match your preferred pedaling cadence (how quickly you spin your cranks). Adjust the Pedal Speed setpoint on the bike or in the AXS app—a higher value if you prefer a faster cadence, or lower if you prefer a slower cadence.
Coast Shift is a feature of Auto Shift that allows you to change gears during times when the terrain or situation doesn’t allow you to pedal. Coast Shift allows the chainring to move independently of the cranks, letting you shift while coasting. Just shift when you need to—pedaling or not—and keep the momentum going.
