Twenty-two years ago, the Specialized Demo set the standard for what a gravity race bike could be. For the newest generation, Specialized came to SRAM with a concept—a compact internal drivetrain that would change how a DH bike moves and behaves. Years of development led to a two-chain system that was built to handle extreme torque and was packaged in a way that allowed for significantly more bottom bracket clearance, improving ride characteristics through previously unattainable geometry numbers.
