Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, Lael Wilcox is an ultra-distance bikepacker. She races and rides around the world, notably winning the 2016 Trans Am and hold the women's record for the Tour Divide. She is driven to encourage more women and girls to ride through scholarships, events and Anchorage GRIT, her middle school girls cycling mentorship program.
ACOMPLISHMENTS: 1st place 2016 Trans Am, Women's record on the Trans Am & the Tour Divide, 1st woman 2019 DKXL (6th overall), 2nd place overall 2019 Silk Road Mountain Race, 2nd place overall 2018 Hope 1000 FUN FACT: Lael has never owned a car.
